Eh I have seen an old film but I only remember that famous quote,however the idea of saving aristo's from Madame Guillotine, when the peasants were starving, appalled me.

The ordinary Parisians were desperately poor and these aristo's seemed immune to their suffering,the obvious poverty and hunger, didn't disgust them enough to stop their banquets and high class living,they just turned a blind eye. So in the end, the revolution was inevitable and not before time...
